The Witcher Showrunner responds to the criticisms of the Children and Families Program

In case you have lost it, one of the most peculiar ads during the recent Tudum event of Netflix was a new series for children and families set in the world of The Witcher. That is a direct appointment of the ad. The Witcher franchise in general and Netflix The Brujo Series so far are not exactly the standard rate for children, with graphic violence, dark issues, etc., so it s hard to imagine how a series would look like Directed to a younger audience. But The Brujo The Showrunner Lauren S. Hisrsrich recently responded to the criticisms of the ad with a solid argument.

I agree, The Witcher is a dark and mature universe. I would go further. It is controversial. Political. A microcosm of humanity, with all its kindness and evil, Hissrich shared on Twitter today in response to criticism of the new series. But I think, I firmly believe, that the moral dilemmas and the ethical grass that adults love in this universe can be extrapolated to stories that children in this chaotic world desperately need and from which they could benefit.

Hissrich continues in Twitter s thread to talk about her own experience with her children, who are too small for the content of the main program. But that does not mean that there are no parts of that world that are not appropriate, according to her. «If I can sit with them and see a version that entertains them, one of which they can laugh, one that feels that the catch and their small but significant place in the world, says Hissrich, But that can also serve as Base to talk about great themes, racism, sexism, what does it mean to be a monster? And how can we fight those dark black holes of humanity, so that everyone knows there is a place for them? Then I sign up .
