How to access Xbox Live user settings
Microsoft has ensured this in mind when configuring its configuration for the Xbox Live platform, allowing its users to change a multitude of different privacy and safety features.
To access these functions, you must follow some steps to configure things.
It should be noted that Microsoft has created some different ways for its users to access their configuration, which allows them to change them from different areas.
xbox.com
The first way to change the privacy and safety configuration can be done through xbox.com.
After heading to the site, log in to your Microsoft account.
Once you have it, select the online security or privacy section of Xbox One/Windows 10.
Inside, you can review and change the current configuration.
Click Save before leaving to make sure the changes are applied.
If you are trying to configure the settings for your child, choose the Gamertag that your child uses.
Perform the same process as the previous one, but then make sure to log in and then close a session in your account so that the changes take effect.
Xbox Live in console
The next way to change the user’s configuration is actually through their console, which is more or less the same, regardless of whether it has an Xbox One or Xbox Series X | s.
To start, simply turn on your Xbox and log in.
Press the Xbox button on one of its controllers to open the guide.
Then go to systems/configuration/account.
In the online privacy and safety section, highlight and click on the privacy of Xbox Live.
This will give you two options: predetermined and personalized.
To change things for your child, follow the same steps until you reach the systems/configuration/account section.
Once there, go to family configuration/Administer family members.
Simply select the child whose configuration you want to update and choose between the default and the personalized configuration.
Once you have chosen, everything is ready.
You can access this area at any time to change its configuration.
Change the configuration of a specific application
Now that we have lowered the Xbox user configuration, it is time to explain how to do the same for any application you download.
To be exact, applications such as Netflix and Internet Explorer will require users to allow access to data from their console before it is installed.
To manage which you want to have access and how much they will have, open the guide in your console by clicking on the Xbox button in your controller.
Go to system/configuration/account/privacy and online safety/application of the application.
Here you will see permissions that can be marked and unmask, respectively.
You can do the same for your children starting a session in an adult account and going to a system/configuration/family configuration/administer family members in the guide area of your console.
Select your child’s Gamertag, then go to privacy and online security/privacy of the application to access, mark and unravel the application permits.
That is all you need to know how to get to the Xbox Live user configuration.
